The four times weekly service on the 1,339-kilometre route to Nanning launched on 25 September, while the following day saw thrice-weekly services commence on the 2,367-kilometre route to Nanchang. Both routes will be flown by the airline’s A320s and neither faces direct competition. The airline has also announced that Macau, Singapore and Udon Thani will also be linked to Utapao from late November, with all routes being served daily. Utapao has been served daily by AirAsia from Kuala Lumpur since the middle of July this year.
