Aeromexico adds three domestic routes

Speaking to the press, at an event to celebrate the arrival of Aeromexico’s new service from Mexico City, was Jorge Goytortua, Senior VP Global Sales of Aeromexico. Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean about 20 kilometres off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula (and only 80 kilometres south of Cancún), and is a popular tourism destination, especially with Americans.

  • Aeromexico on 1 October introduced three new domestic routes to its network. Two of them are from Mexico City (MEX). At just 175 kilometres the double-daily service to Queretaro (QRO) becomes the airline’s shortest route. There is no competition in that market, unlike on the other two routes which are already served. According to OAG Schedules Analyser, Aeromexico now serves 78 domestic routes, of which 43 are from Mexico City. See how Cozumel Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
