- Oman Air commenced services between Muscat (MCT) and Dhaka (DAC) on 25 October. The 3,261-kilometre link will be served four times weekly on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. From 1 December, a Monday and Wednesday service will also be added. Dhaka is the airline’s second destination in Bangladesh after Chittagong, which is served daily from Muscat. Services between the two capital cities will face direct competition from United Airways Bangladesh and Biman Bangladesh Airlines, which both operate a daily service. Oman Air will serve the city pair using a mixture of its A330-200s and A330-300s according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.
