Kassel Airport welcomed two new Germania routes recently, with weekly rotations added to Gran Canaria and Tenerife South. These routes join Hurghada, which the airline already serves from the regional German airport.

  • Germania performed its first weekly flights (Tuesdays) from Dresden (DRS),  Friedrichshafen (FDH) and Münster/Osnabrück (FMO) direct to Funchal (FNC) and one-stop to Lanzarote (ACE), with the triangle route starting from all three German airports on the same day ‒ 3 November. While none of the routes to either destination faces any direct competition, the flights from Friedrichshafen and Dresden are operated by the airline’s 149-seat 737-700s, while from Münster/Osnabrück, the airline utilises its 124-seat A319 fleet. According to OAG schedules for the week commencing 3 November, Germania now operates to eight scheduled destinations from all three regional German airports. Over the last seven days the airline also launched three further routes from two other regional German airports, all of which were to destinations in the Canary Islands.
