Frontier Airlines commenced services on 18 November between Orlando (MCO), the second busiest airport on its network this winter and Detroit (DTW). The 1,542-kilometre sector will be flown daily by the carrier’s new A321s according to OAG Schedules Analyser data. The airport pair will face direct competition from two incumbent airlines. Delta Air Lines serves the sector 36 times weekly while Spirit Airlines offers a double-daily service. Detroit is already served by Frontier from Denver (14 flights per week) and Trenton (daily).
