Kevin Boothroyd, Director of Sales and Marketing, Pacific Coastal Airlines, greeted passengers before boarding the inaugural flight to Kelowna. Once he had given his speech, he then performed a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside Victoria Airport Authority President and CEO, Geoff Dickson.

- Pacific Coastal Airlines commenced services between Victoria (YYJ) and Kelowna (YLW) on 23 November. The short 327-kilometre sector will operate 12 times weekly according to OAG Schedules Analyser data, and face direct competition in the form of WestJet which uses its Encore division on the route. The regional carrier will use its 30-seat S340s on the sector. Kelowna becomes the fourth route for the airline from Victoria joining services to Cranbrook, Prince George and Vancouver.
