AirSWIFT starts second route in the Philippines

AirSWIFT Cebu to El Nido

On 26 November AirSWIFT launched daily domestic flights between Cebu and El Nido in the Philippines using an ATR 42-500. Cutting the celebratory cake in Cebu were: AirSWIFT GM Alfonso Javier Reyes; AirSWIFT Director for Operations Capt. John Andrews and AirSWIFT Director for Quality and Safety Capt. Samuel Avila Sr. with the Flight Crew of T6 337 Cebu to El Nido. Taking part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were: AirSWIFT CFO and CO Felly Anne Salvador; Ali Capital CFO Liza Tango; GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation Chief Executive Advisor Andrew Acquaah-Harrison; AirSWIFT GM Alfonso Javier Reyes; and GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation Chief Commercial Advisor Ravishankar Saravu.

  • AirSWIFT, a new ‘boutique’ airline operating in the Philippines, on 26 November began daily flights between Cebu (CEB) and El Nido (ENI). The 501-kilometre route will be served by the airline’s 44-seat ATR 42-500s (of which it has two) and faces no competition. In fact, the only services at El Nido Airport, which serves the ‘vacation paradise’ of El Nido on the island of Palawan, appear to be those offered by AirSWIFT to Manila and Cebu. Although the AirSWIFT name is new, the carrier can trace its roots back to 2002 when it began operations as Island Transvoyager, Inc (ITI Air).
