Shandong Airlines targets Thailand

  • Shandong Airlines, the Chinese carrier which operates a fleet of over 80 737s, has grown its international network with the launch on 29 November of its first flights to Phuket (HKT) in Thailand. Daily service is now offered on the 2,725-kilometre route from Changsha (CSX) and also the 3,756-kilometre route from Jinan (TNA). The Jinan service operates via Changsha. China Southern Airlines already operates twice-weekly on the Changsha-Phuket sector. Phuket becomes Shandong Airlines’ 11th international destination, following in the footsteps of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Delhi, Hualien, Osaka Kansai, Phnom Penh, Seoul Incheon, Siem Reap, Taichung and Taipei.
