Avianca arrives in Barbados

Acting Prime Minister, Richard Sealy, greeted passengers off the inaugural flight in Barbados on 2 December as Star Alliance member Avianca commenced its twice-weekly services from Bogota. The 1,856-kilometre sector will be flown on Wednesdays and Saturdays according to OAG Schedules Analyser.

Commenting on the arrival of Avianca to the Caribbean island, Richard Sealy, Minister of Tourism and International Transport to Barbados, and the current acting Prime Minister, said: “We are of course very happy that this flight has become a reality.” He also stated that he and representatives from the airline would like the trips to increase from twice-weekly to daily flights “in the shortest possible time”.
