Nok Air starts second Vietnamese route

Nok Air launched its first scheduled flight from Bangkok Don Mueang to Hanoi in Vietnam on 2 December. The service will initially be operated four times weekly using the LCC’s colourful 737-800s. Direct competition comes from Thai AirAsia’s daily service.

  • Nok Air now serves Hanoi (HAN) with the introduction on 2 December of a four times weekly service from Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK). The 982-kilometre route will be flown by the LCC’s colourful 737-800s. The route is already flown daily by Thai AirAsia. Providing additional indirect competition by flying from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Hanoi are; Vietnam Airlines (21 weekly flights), Thai Airways (14 weekly flights), Jetstar Pacific Airlines and VietJetAir (both with daily flights). Hanoi becomes Nok Air’s second destination in Vietnam having launched flights to Ho Chi Minh City on 1 October.
