British Airways started its third Portuguese service from London Gatwick (LGW) this week, with a four times weekly service to Porto (OPO) joining its existing flights to Faro and Funchal. Commenced on 11 February, the 1,276-kilometre sector, which is operated by the airline’s A319/A320 fleet, will face direct competition from TAP Portugal (twice-daily) and easyJet (four times weekly).
