It’s all smiles in Sharjah, as the assembled VIPs cut the strawberry butterfly adorned new route cake, which was baked to mark the start of Air Arabia’s thrice-weekly service to Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Air Arabia has become the second LCC from the UAE to launch services from the country to Sarajevo (SJJ) on 18 March. While it faces no direct competition from Sharjah (SHJ), it joins flydubai which already operates from Dubai to the Bosnia and Herzegovinian capital on a thrice-weekly basis. The Sharjah-based airline will initially operate its latest route thrice-weekly, but will increase the frequency to five times weekly by the end of March. According to Flightradar24.com, the inaugural flight was flown by one of its A320 fleet, namely A6-AOL.
