LOT Polish Airlines expands from Warsaw Chopin
Košice Airport celebrated the arrival of LOT Polish Airlines’ inaugural service from Warsaw Chopin on 30 March. Welcoming the aircraft to the Slovakian city are: Richard Raši, Mayor of Košice; Renáta Lenártová, Vice Mayor of Košice; LOT Polish Airlines crew; Michael Tmej, CEO of Košice Airport; and Vladimir Valla, LOT Polish Airlines Sales Manager – Slovakia. Flights on the 388-kilometre sector will operate six times weekly.
Cluj-Napoca Airport welcomed the arrival of LOT Polish Airlines’ inaugural service from Warsaw Chopin on 30 March. Flights on the 628-kilometre sector will operate four times weekly according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.

Being prepped for its inaugural departure back to Warsaw Chopin from Palanga in Lithuania on 30 March is one of LOT Polish Airlines’ Q400s that will operate the route thrice-weekly (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). The 423-kilometre sector will face no direct competition.
- LOT Polish Airlines commenced five new routes in five different countries from Warsaw Chopin (WAW) on Wednesday 30 March. These latest route launches confirm the Star Alliance member’s route expansion strategy, following on from earlier in the month when it added four new connections from the Polish capital. The longest sector of the latest launches is the 2,345-kilometre link to Beirut (BEY) which will be flown thrice-weekly. The shortest connection from Chopin is the 388-kilometre airport pair with Košice (KSC), a route which will be flown six times weekly by the carrier’s Q400 fleet.
