- Jetstar Japan launched its third route to Manila (MNL) on 7 April with the introduction of a four times weekly service from Osaka Kansai (KIX). The LCC already serves the Filipino capital from Tokyo Narita and Nagoya. The 2,633-kilometre route will be flown by the carrier’s A320s and will face competition from Philippine Airlines (daily flights), Cebu Pacific Air (five weekly flights) and Jetstar Asia (twice-weekly flights). This brings to three the number of international destinations served by Jetstar Japan from Osaka Kansai, the others being Hong Kong and Taipei Taoyuan.
