Cutting the ceremonial ribbon used to mark the postponed start of easyJet’s new service from Milan Malpensa to Krakow on 12 April (the route should have started 9 April, but was delayed due to industrial action in Italy) were: Agnieszka Timler, Welcome Airport Services Director and Radoslaw Wloszek, Member of Management Board at Krakow Airport.
- easyJet started seven new routes in the last seven days from five different bases. With an average sector length of 1,065 kilometres and an average weekly frequency of three, four of the city pairs face direct competition. The longest sector length is the 1,452-kilometre route between Lyon (LYS) and Faro (FAO), while the shortest is the 452-kilometre link between Barcelona (BCN) and Bordeaux (BOD).
