On 21 April, PenAir inaugurated services from Portland to Arcata-Eureka and Redding. Both 526- and 565-kilometre sectors will be served by the carrier’s Saab 340 fleet with at least a daily service according to OAG Schedules Analyser data. Portland celebrated the launch of services with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony fronted by PenAir and Port of Portland members, while passengers received cookies to enjoy.
- PenAir commenced two routes from Portland (PDX) to Arcata-Eureka (ACV) and Redding (RDD) on 21 April. Services on the 526-kilometre sector to Arcata-Eureka will be operated twice-daily. Flights on the 565-kilometre airport pair with Redding will be operated directly daily according to OAG Schedules Analyser data, while the evening service on the former route will continue onto Redding creating a second-daily connection. All flights will be operated onboard the regional airline’s Saab 340 fleet facing no direct competition. The latest launches by PenAir means it serves a total of four destinations from Portland, with the carrier also operating to Crescent City and North Bend, a route launched by the carrier on 21 March.
