germanwings adds Menorca routes brace

Passengers on germanwings’ first flight from Düsseldorf to Menorca were treated to local product tasting and a cake. Doing the cutting along with the germanwings crew were: Tomás Melgar Menorca Airport Director; Martin Rinker, germanwings Area Manager South Western Europe, Northern Africa and The Netherlands; and Vicente Guillamón, IB Airport Services, Station Manager.

  • germanwings began two services to Menorca (MAH) on 1 May, from Cologne Bonn (CGN) and Düsseldorf (DUS) – two airports which are just 54 kilometres apart (by air). The first airport pair, which has a sector length of 1,242 kilometres, will be flown by the airline’s A319 fleet, and will face direct competition from airberlin (weekly). While the latter route, which has a sector length of 1,286 kilometres, will be flown by the airline’s A320 fleet, and will face direct competition from airberlin, Eurowings and TUIfly (all weekly). See how Menorca Airport’s FTWAs compare to others from around the world.
