Seen celebrating the arrival of TAROM to Hamburg is the inaugural flight crew. The German facility also heralded the start of services with cake. Flights on the 1,539-kilometre city pair will be flown four times weekly facing Blue Air as an incumbent.
- TAROM commenced services between Bucharest (OTP) to Hamburg (HAM) on 9 May. The 1,539-kilometre route will be operated by the SkyTeam member four times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) onboard its A318 fleet. “We are very happy welcoming TAROM’s commitment to Hamburg Airport,” says Michael Eggenschwiler, CEO of Hamburg Airport. “The connection is attractive for both business travellers and for people going on holiday or a city trip. I am happy that Hamburg Airport’s passengers will have an even greater choice available in the future when they want to fly to Romania.” Services will face direct competition from Blue Air, which itself recently launched twice-weekly services on the route.
