Staff of Beijing Capital Airlines take a moment to savour the launch of their new service between Shenyang and Osaka Kansai. The new twice-weekly service will compete with China Southern Airlines’ existing daily service.

  • Beijing Capital Airlines has started a new international service between Shenyang (SHE) and Osaka Kansai (KIX). On 18 May the airline began twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) flights on the 1,320-kilometre route using its A320s. China Southern Airlines already operates the route with a daily service. According to OAG Schedules Analyser data, Beijing Capital Airlines now operates a total 19 international routes, of which three are from Shenyang. None are operated with more than three weekly frequencies. Of the 19 routes eight are to Japan, four to Thailand, three each to South Korea and Vietnam and one to the Maldives.
