Jacksonville celebrated with this tropical cake the start of Silver Airways’ twice-weekly (Thursdays and Sundays) service to Nassau. The route faces no incumbents.

  • Silver Airways commenced service on four routes from Florida to Nassau (NAS) in the Bahamas between 26 and 27 May. Services from Jacksonville (JAX) and Palm Beach (PBI) will be operated twice-weekly, with flights from Southwest Florida (RSW) being flown thrice-weekly. Tampa (TPA) will see a daily operation. Although none of the routes currently face direct competition, services to Palm Beach will see the arrival of Bahamasair from late-June when it resumes seasonal services on the 319-kilometre sector. Nassau becomes the eighth airport which Silver Airways operates to in the Bahamas, with it already serving Marsh Harbour, North Eleuthera, Freeport, Bimini, Treasure Cay, George Town and Governors Harbour according to OAG Schedules Analyser data. See how Southwest Florida’s FTWA compares to other from around the world this week.
