Blue Air begins 14 airport pairs

Everybody in Bacau wanted to be photographed with the culinary showstopper at the launch of Blue Air’s Stuttgart service on 2 June. Cologne Bonn celebrated with a traditional route launch cake the start of Blue Air’s twice-weekly service from Iasi. The route will face no direct competition. Blue Air in total serves three destinations from Cologne Bonn, with Iasi joining current services to Bucharest and Sibiu.

Liverpool celebrated with a ribbon cutting and cake the start of Blue Air’s twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays) service from Cluj-Napoca. The UK airport’s CEO Andrew Cornish and Paul Winfield, Air Service Development Manager, celebrate the inaugural flight along with the crew while Blue Air Captain Popa Rares cuts the ribbon. Blue Air also serves Bucharest and Bacau from Liverpool.

On 2 June Blue Air welcomed the arrival of Lisbon to its network when it commenced a thrice-weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) service from Bucharest. The Portuguese capital airport celebrated with a traditional route launch cake while illuminated dancers serenaded passengers before departure.

Constanta celebrated with cake and traditional dancing the launch of Blue Air’s first flight to Athens on 4 June. Services on the 808-kilometre sector will be flown twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays) according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.

Cutting the ribbon to celebrate the start of Blue Air’s route from Bucharest to Stockholm Arlanda, which started on 4 June, were Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business, Swedavia and Vlad Cristescu Advertising & Brand Executive, Blue Air. They were joined by Helena Martin, Route Development Manager, Swedavia.
