During the celebration of the inaugural Germania Flug flight from Bern to Calvi all passengers were offered an aperitif along with regional products. Leading the festivities and cutting the ribbon at the gate were: Stefan Müller, MD Rhomberg Reisen; Mathias Gantenbein, CEO Bern Airport; and Tobias Somandin, CEO Germania Flug.
- Germania Flug started its first flight on 12 June at Bern (BRN) ‒ Switzerland’s fourth largest airport – from Calvi (CLY) on the French island of Corsica. An A319 arrives weekly from Calvi every Sunday until 9 October, with no direct competition. Mathias Gantenbein, CEO, Bern Airport, said: “Our customers prefer convenient flight options directly from their hometowns, so to speak, now also with Germania.” See how Bern’s FTWA competes against others sent in for this week’s Arch of Triumph.
