Jin Air becomes the third South Korean carrier after Jeju Air and Asiana Airlines to offer daily flights between Seoul Incheon and Saipan. Jin Air’s service on the 3,124-kilometre route began on 9 June.
- Jin Air on 9 June began daily service between Seoul Incheon (ICN) and Saipan (SPN). The 3,124-kilometre route will be flown by the LCC’s 737-800s. Competition on the route comes from Asiana Airlines (daily flights) and Jeju Air (twice-daily flights). Saipan is the largest island of the Northern Mariana Islands, a commonwealth of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean. Saipan International Airport also has direct year-round links with destinations in China and Japan, with flights to the Philippines set to start shortly.
