Dignitaries on board the initial Mahan Air flight from Tehran to Copenhagen included Morteza Moradian, the Ambassador of Iran in Denmark, senior airline officials, as well as press members. The flight was greeted by senior airport management including Peter Krogsgaard CCO of the Danish airport.
- Mahan Air ‒ the Iranian carrier ‒ has expanded its ever-growing network by launching flights between Tehran Imam Khomeini (IKA) and Copenhagen (CPH) on 9 June. The Danish capital becomes the airline’s fifth European destination – joining Düsseldorf, Istanbul Atatürk, Milan Malpensa and Munich. It will fly to Copenhagen twice-weekly, (Thursdays and Sundays) using its two-class configured A340 equipment. “The launch of direct flights between Iran and Denmark is testament to the growing relations between the two states,” said Iranian Ambassador to Denmark Morteza Moradian during the flight’s inauguration ceremony. “The route will facilitate travel between the two countries and bring the Danes and Iranians closer.” Mahan Air also offers convenient connections to many points in the Far East from Copenhagen.
