Alitalia links to Larnaca market

Pobeda extends its European network-1

The inbound Alitalia aircraft on the first flight from Rome Fiumicino to Larnaca on 8 June was ‘ baptised’ in the usual way. The service operates twice-weekly until the end of September.

  • Alitalia has commenced its only route between Italy and Cyprus this week, beginning a twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) seasonal operation from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) to Larnaca (LCA). The 2,010-kilometre sector faces no direct competition at present, though Vueling will resume its seasonal service between the two airports from 25 June. Also, Ryanair does offer a twice-weekly service to Paphos from Rome Ciampino. The SkyTeam airline will use its A320 fleet on the route which began on 8 June. See how Larnaca’s FTWA competes against others sent in for this week’s Arch of Triumph.
