Elite Airways commences route quartet

Elite Airways’ Long Island MacArthur to Orlando Melbourne

Leading the inaugural celebrations at Orlando Melbourne of Elite Airways’ new service to Long Island MacArthur were: David Dow, EVP Elite Airways; the Honourable Kathy Meehan, Mayor of Melbourne and Vice Chair Melbourne Airport Authority; and Jack Ryals, Chairman Melbourne Airport Authority. Passengers on the first flight also enjoyed the celebrations with fresh orange juice and Statue of Liberty crowns.

  • Elite Airways commenced service on four routes this week, with three connecting to Long Island MacArthur (ISP), its first operations from the New York area airport. “This is a significant time in the history of Long Island MacArthur Airport. The inaugural flight for Elite Airways marks the beginning of a new opportunity for Long Island travellers, who won’t have to contend with the congestion and hassle of flying from other airports,” said Long Island MacArthur Airport Supervisor Angie Carpenter. None of the airline’s four new routes will face competition, with all of them operating at a twice-weekly (Fridays and Sundays) frequency.
