CityJet enters French domestic market

- CityJet commenced French domestic services on 25 June, starting with a connection between Avignon (AVN) and Bastia (BIA) in Corsica. The 399-kilometre sector will be served weekly (Saturdays) on the carrier’s RJ85s facing no direct competition. The second connection inaugurated on the same day was a 505-kilometre link from Bastia to Beziers (BZR). Also operated by the airline’s RJ85s, the weekly (Saturdays) service will face no competition. Flown on an Avignon – Bastia – Beziers – Bastia – Avignon routing, the aircraft operating these services is London City based analysing the carrier’s schedules data. This latest French expansion from CityJet continues on from the week previous when the airline launched services from Cork to La Rochelle and Nantes.
