Cutting the cake along with the first flight crew in Cluj-Napoca, marking the start of Atlasglobal’s route from Istanbul Atatürk, are: Orhan Sancar, Atlasglobal Eastern Europe Director; Nora Alici, Atlasglobal Director of Corporate Communications; and David Ciceo, MD Cluj-Napoca Airport.
- Atlasglobal has added its first Romanian destination to its Istanbul Atatürk (IST) network, with the start of thrice-weekly services to Cluj-Napoca (CLJ) on 1 August. The 764-kilometre sector, operated by the airline’s A320 fleet, becomes the 35th destination offered by the airline from its main base. Of these only eight are to domestic destinations in Turkey. The remaining 27 are spread across 22 different country markets. While the new route currently faces no direct competition, Turkish Airlines is expected to start the same airport pair from 1 September. See how Cluj-Napoca’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
