A press conference was held during the inaugural FrenchBlue flight between Paris Orly and Punta Cana on 10 September. While the new airline has been operating some flights for its sister carrier Air Caraïbes since earlier in the summer, the twice-weekly service is the first route under its own banner.
- FrenchBlue, which is owned by Groupe Dubreuil, which is also the owner of Air Caraïbes, has commenced flights under its own banner this week, beginning twice-weekly (Mondays and Saturdays) services from Paris Orly (ORY) to Punta Cana (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic on 10 September. The airline has been operating some long-haul flights on behalf of Air Caraïbes since 1 July. There are no incumbents on the city pair, which is operated by the airline’s single 364-seat A330-300. Weekly frequencies are expected to increase next month to three.
