On 23 September, SmartWings launched its second route to Dubai, a 4,191-kilometre link from Ostrava. The airline already links the Middle East hub with Prague. To celebrate the new service, the Czech Republic airport commissioned this cake for the inaugural passengers to enjoy.
- SmartWings showcased its second route to Dubai (DXB) on 23 September, a 4,191-kilometre connection from Ostrava (OSR) in the Czech Republic. Initially launched with a weekly (Friday) frequency, a second weekly (Tuesday) rotation will commence from 25 October according to OAG schedules. Flown on the carrier’s 737-800s, the route will face no direct competition. This latest city pair launched by Smartwings is the carrier’s second connection to Dubai, with it already serving the UAE city from Prague.
