Silver Airways connects to Camaguey

- Silver Airways commenced its second route to Cuba from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) on 13 October, a connection to Camaguey (CMW). The 566-kilometre link will be flown by the US carrier five times weekly on its Saab 340 fleet facing no incumbents. Camaguey becomes the second Cuban connection for the airline from Fort Lauderdale, with it having launched flights to Santa Clara on 1 September. The airline plans to open a further seven routes to Cuba from Fort Lauderdale before the end of 2016, namely to Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo, Cienfuegos, Holguin, Manzanillo, Santiago de Cuba and Varadero.
