Scoot decides on Dalian as next Chinese destination

- Scoot has made Dalian (DLC) its latest destination in China with the introduction on 30 October of twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Sundays) flights from Singapore (SIN) via Qingdao. The 4,546-kilometre route will be flown by the airline’s 787-9 fleet. Scoot’s CCO, Leslie Thng, said: “Scoot has been growing rapidly in China; Dalian is our seventh Chinese city since we inaugurated services to our first China point of Tianjin four years ago in August 2012. Since the integration with our sister airline Tigerair that began earlier this May, we have built closer commercial and operational ties and look forward to growing our combined presence in China.” Scoot already serves six other destinations in China; Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shenyang and Tianjin. Scoot’s fleet now comprises six 787-8s and six 787-9s.
