With the combination of chicken tenders, local beer and a presidential election at the Tuesday night booth pub crawl, Slots Atlanta was three memorable days of networking and one-to-one meetings. The exhibition hall was crammed full of airports and industry suppliers, and our on-site data elves will be coming back to the UK with worn out leather on their little boots having covered every centimetre of the show floor to bring you the latest network development news.

That’s it…we’ve made it guys. The last route development conference of 2016 ‒ 139th IATA Slot Conference in Atlanta ‒ has finished and we can all have a rest until next February, when the merry-go-round whirrs into action again, as many of us will pack our suitcases up and head out to Las Vegas for Routes Americas. As the ink dries on those last deals for S17 and beyond, relax in the office and take a look at the on-line versions of our final show daily magazines for 2016. The Departures edition features an interview with Lara Maughan, Head Worldwide Airport Slots at IATA, who expressed her excitement of visiting Kuala Lumpur next June at the next Slots Conference, as well as her favourite variety of the local fizzy beverage (Coke Zero). The rest of this jam-packed publication is bulging full of coverage from the various drinks receptions, networking events, as well as all the news from the exhibition floor.
