- Aeroflot began a daily service to London Gatwick (LGW) from Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) on 15 November, complementing the airline’s existing 25 times weekly operation into London Heathrow. The new route fills the void left by easyJet, which had operated the city pair until March this year, but to Moscow Domodedovo. The 2,506-kilometre sector is flown by the SkyTeam carrier’s A320 fleet, and faces no direct competition. British Airways also flies between the UK and Russian capital city with a 20 times weekly operation from Heathrow to Domodedovo.
