Orlando Sanford Airport heralded the start of ViaAir’s new twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) service from Charlotte Douglas with a water arch salute. The carrier will operate the 715-kilometre link on its 50-seat ERJ 145s.

Although no other carrier currently offers the airport pairing directly, it should be noted that American Airlines offers 62 weekly flights between Charlotte Douglas and Orlando, while Frontier Airlines operates the same airport pairing with four weekly flights.
