LOT Polish Airlines launched flights to Kiev Zhulyany on 26 February, its second airport operation in the Ukrainian capital after Kiev Boryspil. The Star Alliance member will offer six weekly flights on its new sector, which will be operated on E175s.
- LOT Polish Airlines added Kiev Zhulyany (IEV) to its network on 26 February, launching a six times weekly service from Warsaw Chopin (WAW). The airline already links the capitals of Poland and Ukraine, offering a twice-daily service between Chopin and Kiev Boryspil on a mixture of its short-haul Boeing and Embraer fleet. The Star Alliance member’s new 686-kilometre connection to Zhulyany will be flown on its E175s according to OAG schedules. Although no direct competition is offered on the carrier’s new venture, along with its own operations to Boryspil, Ukraine International Airlines also offers a twice-daily service between the latter airport and Chopin.
