Ethiopian Airlines navigates its way to Norway

Ethiopian Airlines celebrated with a cake cutting the start of services from Addis Ababa to Oslo Gardermoen and Victoria Falls on 26 March. The ceremony was also an occasion for the airline to celebrate its new route to Antananarivo which begins on 28 March. Both connections launched this week will be flown four times weekly with neither facing direct competition.
- Ethiopian Airlines launched two new routes from its Addis Ababa (ADD) hub on 26 March – Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) and Victoria Falls (VFA). Flights to the Norwegian capital, which will operate via the Star Alliance member’s existing Stockholm Arlanda service, will operate four times weekly on the airline’s 787-8s. Services on the 3,325-kilometre link to Victoria Falls will also be flown four times weekly, with these flights operated on the carrier’s 737-700s according to OAG schedules. Neither route will face direct competition. It is not long until Ethiopian Airlines commences a further route from its Addis Ababa hub, with services to Antananarivo scheduled to begin on 28 March.
