Düsseldorf welcomed the arrival of Norwegian’s new service from Barcelona on 27 March, a connection it will offer three times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). The route is already served by airberlin, Eurowings and Vueling.
- Norwegian this week launched two new routes – one domestic and one international. Its domestic connection, launched on 26 March, was a 575-kilometre link between the Swedish airports of Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) and Skelleftea (SFT), a route already flown by SAS 32 times weekly. The following day the LCC began a three times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) connection from Barcelona (BCN) to Düsseldorf (DUS). At 1,167 kilometres, the Spanish–German city pairing is already flown by three airlines, namely airberlin, Eurowings and Vueling, which combined offer 39 weekly flights. Both routes will be flown on the airline’s 737-800s. Vote for Dūsseldorf’s FTWA in this week’s Arch of Triumph Public Vote.
