A presentation was held on the 29 March to celebrate the arrival of Air Arabia Maroc to Catania, the day after its inauguration of flights from Casablanca. Among those to speak at the event was Nico Torrisi, President and CEO of SAC (Società Aeroporto Catania). The airline will offer twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays) flights on its A320s.
- Air Arabia Maroc launched flights to its sixth Italian destination from Casablanca (CMN) on 28 March – Catania (CTA). The airline already links Casablanca to Cuneo, Bologna, Milan Bergamo, Naples and Venice Marco Polo in Italy. It will offer twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays) A320-operated flights on the 2,094-kilometre sector to Catania, a route which will not face any direct competition. In total Air Arabia Maroc now flies to 13 destinations from Casablanca according to OAG schedules.
