Taxiing onto stand at Sarajevo Airport on 31 March is flight TB 5991, otherwise known as TUI Airlines Belgium inaugural flight from Brussels Charleroi. Those of you with good eyesight will also spot flydubai flight FZ 8764 being prepared for departure to Dubai in the background. The airline will operate flights between Brussels Charleroi and Sarajevo on its 737-800s.
- TUI Airlines Belgium has introduced a new European capital connection by beginning flights between Brussels Charleroi (CRL) and Sarajevo (SJJ). Launched on 31 March, the 1,278-kilometre link between the capitals of Belgium and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be operated by the airline twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays) on its 737-800s. No other carrier currently operates between Brussels and Sarajevo. Along with opening this route, the airline this week also commenced a weekly (Saturdays) service between Strasbourg (SXB) and Marrakech (RAK), a 737-800-operated 2,295-kilometre link that will face no incumbents.
