Volotea begins six of the best new routes
On 31 March, Volotea commenced twice-weekly domestic operations between Montpellier and Lille. Passengers on the inaugural flight V7 2513 were treated to breakfast in the terminal.

At the other end of the same route the celebrations continued as Lille Airport’s Marketing and Development Manager Pierre Fernemont (third from right) gives Volotea’s new domestic service the thumbs up.

Help yourself to some sweets! These treats were available for passengers getting on board the first Volotea flight from Caen to Toulouse, a twice-weekly service launched on 31 March.
- Volotea has started six new routes from four of its French and Spanish bases over the past week – four domestic and two international. The average sector length of the four routes is 682 kilometres, with the shortest airport pair being the 454-kilometre domestic hop from Toulouse (TLS) to Nantes (NTE), while the longest is the 1,104-kilometre international route from Toulouse to Naples (NAP). The average weekly frequency of the six routes is 1.7, with two-thirds of the new sectors being operated twice-weekly. Only one of the six airport pairs will see any direct competition for the LCC, with HOP! (26 times weekly) and easyJet (10) being the incumbent carriers on the Toulouse to Nantes route.
