Germania Flug launched flights to Jerez on 6 April, its only destination in mainland Spain. The inaugural flight was greeted by a water arch salute upon its arrival at the Spanish airport. The airline will offer twice-weekly (Mondays and Thursdays) flights on the 1,687-kilometre sector facing no direct competition. The airline already serves Gran Canaria, La Palma and Palma de Mallorca in Spain according to OAG schedules.

The 1,687-kilometre route was last served in 2013 when Edelweiss Air operated a summer seasonal weekly (Saturdays) service on its A320s, while Germania Flug will serve the sector on its 150-seat A319s. Germania Flug at the start of S17 is serving 11 routes from Zurich on 31 weekly flights, with its busiest days being Thursdays and Sundays (six flights) followed by Saturdays (five).
