- Jet2.com has introduced a further two routes from its new base at London Stansted (STN) this week, beginning flights to Larnaca (LCA) and Paphos (PFO) in Cyprus. Inaugurated on 5 April, both routes will operate weekly (Wednesdays) on the carrier’s 737-800s, of which it will base seven at Stansted. The 3,188-kilometre link to Paphos will face direct competition from Ryanair (daily) and Thomson Airways (twice-weekly), while the 3,248-kilometre route to Larnaca will face Cobalt (daily) as a direct competitor. With these launches, Jet2.com now serves seven UK airports from Larnaca and eight from Paphos, with the latter having recently welcomed the airline’s new service from Birmingham.
