S7 Airlines starts two Russian domestic routes

S7 Airlines commenced flights between Moscow Domodedovo and Petrozavodsk on 4 April. On hand to celebrate the launch at the latter airport was Anton Eremin, S7 Airlines Group Deputy CEO, who can be seen being quizzed by the local media about the new route from the Russian capital. The carrier will offer three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) on the 752-kilometre sector on its A319s according to OAG schedules.

  • S7 Airlines has introduced two Russian domestic routes to its network this week. The first connection was from Moscow Domodedovo (DME) to Petrozavodsk (PES). Inaugurated on 4 April, S7 Airlines will offer three weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) flights on the route using its A319s, with no other carrier currently offering the connection. The following day, S7 Airlines began a link from Novosibirsk (OVB) to Nizhnevartovsk (NJC), a route it will provide twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays) on its A320s, facing direct competition from UTair and IrAero, which combined already provide seven weekly flights. Coincidentally, both routes launched by S7 Airlines this week are 752 kilometres in length.
