Celebrating the launch of three new domestic routes from Cebu Airport on 22 April, with a splendid cake and a ribbon cutting ceremony were: Captain Gomer Monreal, VP Flight Operations, Philippines Air Asia; Ravishankar Saravu, Chief Commercial Advisor, GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation; and Philippines Air Asia cabin crew. All three new routes are also served by Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Airlines.
- Philippines AirAsia has expanded its domestic network with three new routes from Cebu (CEB). All three routes to Caticlan (MPH), Davao (DVO) and Puerto Princesa (PPS) will be served daily and will all face at least two incumbent airlines. These new routes mean that the airline’s share of the domestic market has now reached 13.3%, ranking it third behind Cebu Pacific Air (44.4%) and Philippine Airlines (31.5%), but ahead of Cebgo (8.2%).
