AirAsia X Indonesia jets off to Japan with new Narita service
- AirAsia X Indonesia introduced a four times weekly service between Denpasar (DPS) and Tokyo Narita (NRT) on 24 May, the carrier’s second new long-haul route this month. The 5,604-kilometre sector will be flown using the long-haul low-cost airline’s A330-300s. Competition on the route comes from Garuda Indonesia which offers a daily services. Flights depart Denpasar at 23:00 arriving in Tokyo at 07:10 the following morning. The return flight leaves the Japanese capital at 08:25 getting back to Bali at 14:25. After launching flights last week from Denpasar to Mumbai via Kuala Lumpur this becomes the carrier’s second route from Denpasar to be flown using its wide-body fleet.
