Allegiant Air commences 11 new domestic routes

Allegiant Air’s five new routes from Louisville

Louisville Airport heralded the start of five new Allegiant Air domestic routes with not one but five cakes! The ULCC will connect the Kentucky airport with four airports in Florida and one in Georgia.

  • Allegiant Air has launched 11 new domestic routes from three airports over the last seven days. The average sector length of the new city pairs is 1,125 kilometres, with the shortest airport pair being the 787-kilometre operation from Louisville (SDF) to Savannah (SAV) in Georgia, while the longest is the 2,222-kilometre operation from Louisville (SDF) to Punta Gorda (PGD) in Florida. The average weekly frequency of the 11 new routes is two. In fact, all 11 airport pairs will be flown at the standard Allegiant Air introductory twice-weekly frequency. Again typical of the US ULCC, none of the 11 routes will see any direct competition for the US’ ninth biggest airline (in terms of weekly seats).
