SunExpress starts new route trio

SunExpress’ 2,494-kilometre sector from Kayseri to Hannover will be flown weekly. If you want to know the codes for the two airports…then look no further!! Very handy for the first flight crew as well.

  • SunExpress has used the last seven days to start three new routes from three different Turkish airports. First up on 20 June were the weekly (Tuesdays) sectors between Kayseri (ASR) to Hannover (HAJ) and Ordu-Giresun (OGU) to Cologne Bonn (CGN). Three days later the leisure airline commenced twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) operations from Ankara (ESB) to Brussels (BRU). The Cologne Bonn connection is the only route from the trio to face direct competition, with Pegasus Airlines offering a weekly operation on the 2,607-kilometre sector from Ordu-Giresun. All three routes are seasonal and will be flown until end-September by the Turkish airline’s 737-800 fleet. SunExpress now operates eight Turkish city pairs from both German airports, and just two from the Belgian airport.
