Boarding from gate 21A on 21 June was the inaugural Wings of Lebanon service from Gothenburg to Beirut. Bjorn Ragnebrink (left), Swedavia’s Senior Route Development Manager, was on-hand to oversee the new route celebrations, along with Mohammad Ghannoum, representative from Nakhal and the Captain of the first flight.
- Wings of Lebanon commenced a weekly operation (Wednesdays) on the 3,173-kilometre connections between Beirut (BEY) and Gothenburg (GOT) on 21 June. The seasonal service, which will be operated until mid-August and flown by the carrier’s A320 fleet, faces no direct competition. Germania offers the only other connection from Sweden to the Lebanese capital, flying twice-weekly from Stockholm Arlanda.
