Wings of Lebanon links Beirut to Gothenburg

Boarding from gate 21A on 21 June was the inaugural Wings of Lebanon service from Gothenburg to Beirut. Bjorn Ragnebrink (left), Swedavia’s Senior Route Development Manager, was on-hand to oversee the new route celebrations, along with Mohammad Ghannoum, representative from Nakhal and the Captain of the first flight.

  • Wings of Lebanon commenced a weekly operation (Wednesdays) on the 3,173-kilometre connections between Beirut (BEY) and Gothenburg (GOT) on 21 June. The seasonal service, which will be operated until mid-August and flown by the carrier’s A320 fleet, faces no direct competition. Germania offers the only other connection from Sweden to the Lebanese capital, flying twice-weekly from Stockholm Arlanda.
