A cake was made to toast the start of Air India Express’ new four times weekly connection between Madurai and Singapore. For Air India Express, this becomes its fourth link to Singapore after Chennai, Kolkata and Tiruchirappalli.
- Air India Express commenced its fourth route to Singapore (SIN) on 15 September in the form of a four times weekly link from Madurai (IXM). The 3,013-kilometre sector, which will no face direct competition and will be flown on the carrier’s 737-800s. Along with Madurai, Air India Express also links Singapore to Chennai, Kolkata and Tiruchirappalli. With the launch of flights between Madurai and Singapore, the latter is now connected to 16 destinations in India, served by a total of eight carriers on 241 weekly flights when referring to OAG schedules.
